Is a Love Without End

My dearest child
My hottest mess
You drive me wild
My source of stress

My mini me
Inside and out
You won’t agree
But I’ve no doubt

It’s truer than true
Opposites attract
But the things you do
The way you act

I see your pain
I struggle too
So much the same
Me and you

You find relief
In many others
You give me grief
But I’m your mother

I know you well
Do you know me
Can you tell
Do you see

We’re just alike
My son and I
A lonely type
We ache, inside

Things are tough
We can’t explain
Good’s not enough
We feel so plain

And so we feen
For other’s praise
But peers are mean
The things they say

If the day, does come
When you see me
As the “okay” mum
I’ve tried, to be

I hope I’m here
To kiss your face
To share a tear
And warm embrace

I admire the way you so plainly speak. It does your poetry justice. I can see your love for your family! Nice one <3

Very nice, Anna - I am quite fond of my children and they are my favorite muse ... I can tell you are similarly motivated. Blessings - keep writing, Dear Poet! :o) <3
