Irreversible

I felt the sun shine on my face
Then a shadow stood in silence
Look to see a handsome stranger
Weeping
I feel compassion
Unsure of what to say or do
Simply just ignore him
Then a shot rings out, I look to see
My lap, his lifeless body

People came from all around
To view this lifeless creature
Me, I tried to remove myself
His blood had stained my body
“Oh my God” I cried aloud
“Will someone here please help me?”
Passerby just walked away
Free from shame and sorrow

Finally free of this lifeless man
My thoughts were in that moment
I saw him there alone and scared
Crying
I did do nothing
Would one kind word
A simple prayer
Change this final outcome
Supposing now it is too late
Damage
irreversible
