Invisible City
A city no one else seems to see
Such beauty there be
Towers reaching so high
Piercing the sky
Golden Light
Fills my heart with delight
Almost see them inside
My eyes I have to hide
The people are apart of the light
Their the reason it burns so bright
Looking at them hurts my eye
Don't know why
Their light so bright
Takes my sight
Walking among but out of reach
About them they don't teach
Once I got bold
And people I told
This city we are among
They say I'm wrong
Give me pills
To ease my ills
Confuse my mind
Leave the vision behind
To make me forget it's there
Not fair
Don't see it because they don't care
Don't dare
I think they know it's near.
But fear
Not meant to see
This city that be
The sudden headache of something to bright
Turned your eyes from the light
You didn't want to see
What really there be
Hiding there in plain sight
Just can't see past their light
Your vision will fight
Refusing to see
The golden city that around us be
Say I'm crazy
But on mornings that are hazy
I can really see
That among it we already be
I can't prove I'm right
Cause everyone else seems lost to this sight
Maybe my mind got broken
Or awoken
The blessings is the curse
Or worse
The curse is the blessing
Just confessing
Lost on what to do
So I act like you
Like I see nothing too
