Intruder

It just occurred to me
that you exist in many more realms
than the ones i've seen
and borne witness to,

although what i have seen
and experienced in the
in-between-times
with you
would fill volumes and
valuable time-slots
on talk shows.

i suppose that
we all have capacity in our
twisty lives
for many lovers,
unkind and unkempt,
yet none as incredible
or indelible
as you...

we also harbor
hatred,
loathing for those who challenge
our faith
who are somehow
valued for
their ability to make
us feel a genuine
emotion

but you have cleaved
my heart and soul
with your non-conformity.

i have deeds that are undone
as of yet
with regard
to you and I...

you are like a stripy fish that
swims up my stream
and i should build
a damn
if i gave one.
