Introspection

I nner child looked back at me as I looked deep within
N everland of candied childhood wishes and dreams
T empting to just want to linger here
R elishing in that sweet taste disappointment has yet to sour
O h how time tempers some wants and desires
S ome sugar does remain in the sediment, however
P ossibility for dreams to be realized, still
E ventually too much sugar is not good for any one
C auses more than just enamel to rot
T akes a mix of sweet, bland, and salty to make a life
I t's a blend that enhances the spice of life
O verstayed my welcome again
N ight night Neverland, hello reality

sorry I have to hurry and make dinner and can't find a new one or old one I have not seen. If you can think of any you would like me to see, please let me know. What is your personal favorite, Dineen?

Bet dinner was tasty :). I think you've viewed them all, you offer a wealth of support Andrea, and I thank you for that. While I don't have a favorite, I appreciate when I can view my poetry with new eyes so to speak. After I read your comments on my piece Butterflies and the Sunrise, I was able to read that piece in a new light. So, I do thank you very much for that as well.
