Into Your Arms
For so long, I have dreamed, ever since,
my deployment, of me, being far away.
The day for me, to come, back home,
into your arms, where I can, warmly stay.
Having the chance, to touch, your face,
be reminded, that you did, in fact, truly exist.
Me and you kissing, happily viewing, our children,
for their smiling and laughter, we can't resist.
Me realizing, how lucky I am, having,
a family, I every day, in heart, hold dear, and true.
Humbled in my shoes, as a soldier, I became,
becoming grateful, surviving what, I have, been through.
