Into the World

Into the Ocean I am headed, and quickly forth the tide pulls me;
From my pool I have been raised, and from it I shall be.

I struggle to keep calm, as the fear tries to grip me;
Though it’s not a fear of a darkened horror, but of uncertainty.

I know not whether to push my way forward, or to press my eyes to the sky,
All that I’m really trying to do is avoid that dreadful sigh.
