Into the Sunset
I captured the twilight,
marmalade skies
Longing to see it
reflect in your eyes
Stood on a mountain
where shadows did play
Boarded a cloud
sent to take me away
Flew o'er the valley,
a shimmering glide
Under a rainbow
with nothing to hide
Drifted the border,
a northern delight
Just past the moon
shining brightly tonight
Landed my cloud
midst a maple tree row
Feeling the breeze,
ever cooling the flow
Looked in my heart
as I quickly climbed down
Seeking the girl
with the eyes colored brown
Called out your name,
set the echoes a' free
Gazed the horizon
only hoping to see
When there you were,
with a smile on your face
Running to greet me,
a wondrous embrace
You climbed on our cloud,
and we followed the wind
A perfect adventure,
about to begin
We floated forever
on the heavens above
Into the sunset,
just falling in love
