Into the Night
Into the night alone, and full in flight
I heard an owl as it moans for sleep
Brave is the heart, she toils by night
I cannot see how men in darkness reap.
I reap nothing waiting for the right. We
Are prone to common fate of choice
And chance. Unless we can tomorrow see
How can we choose? Night is sad device.
Over all the dreams its wings arching
Turn, and I can feel her eyes beyond pain
Moles dismissed from the second coming
Maybe asked too, why are we here again?
