Into the Night

The setting sun releases its gentle grasp As the moon resumes her vigil in the sky The exploding vibrance of sunset melts away Replaced by the cold darkness The refreshing warmth of daylight's swirling breeze Fades into the chilling gale of moonlight's blusters Enveloped by the black of night Engulfed in his own deluded passion Entranced by his mind's-eye view Enraged by the sight of another The night will hide his deeds Until the new day dawns Bright, fresh, and new Just like the crimson stains on his hands.
