Notes About The Poem

Art by Geneva Wilson

Into the Enchanted Forest

Into the enchanted forest
I will go and wander awhile
with the most ancient one amongst
the magical mythical wild.

I shall disrobe the mundane rust
of mortal mind, its death-filled coil,
and dwell within the living trust
of magical mythical wild.

The ancient one may let me dream,
then bid me plant in fertile soil
joy-filled spells, there beside the stream
and magical mythical wild.

Into the enchanted forest; and magical mystical wild.

THIS!! It is like a spell, as a matter of fact, I do believe I am going to start reciting this poem each time I flee into the woods to create magic and spells and shake off the excess of humanity.

This beautiful poem allows my entrance into an enchanted forest with the many words of magic urging my further adventure. I enjoyed the fantasy.
