INTO GLORY AND ART

I will make a sweet and blessed sweep
away from the world of wretchedness
And in the exile hopefully clothe myself with holiness
There with courage I will sustain the pain of past wrongs
And the follies of heartlessness ignorance be pardoned.

I will flee in fasting twilight into the sanctuary of art
And live in the transfixing glory of heaven’s peace apart
