Interview With an Angel

Angel, please tell me your name.

Gabriel

What does angel mean and what do angels do?

Angel is Greek for messenger from God. We have
several functions. We deliver messages from God to
believers and sometimes non-believers.
For example; I was tasked with delivering the greatest
message to affect the world. I told Mary she would give birth
to the savior of the world. Sometimes we intervene to
save people from themselves and we even have been tasked
with saving a whole nation or people. Think Israel. We had
the pleasure of comforting Jesus after His forty days in the 
wilderness and in the Garden of Gethsemane prior to crucifixion.

Tell me what misconceptions humans have of angels.

That is a good question, one we find rather humorous.
You can tell your readers that we don’t have wings and halos
and we definitely don’t sit on clouds all day playing harps.
We do sing praises to our Lord quite often.

I hear so much about the end times. What role will
angels play.

We will accompany Jesus when He comes back and
will help Him judge the world. We will be tasked with 
releasing various plaques on the earth.

That sounds pretty severe.

Well, we need to cleanse the world of sin and
that is how it will be done. I have to go, any
more questions for me?
