Internal Clocks

We changed the clocks at 2 a.m. And so I woke at 4 But waited ‘til 5:30 ‘Til I headed out the door. Internal clocks remain confused With switches to the time. It may take several days or more Of feeling “off” ‘til I’m Adjusted to the mornings Filling up with early light And similarly, heading in When 4 p.m. is night. If we got used to Covid, Wearing masks and feeling scared, For trivial disturbances, We should be well-prepared.

I can never get used to Covid, but I do not see the need to fall back with clocks any more.

It may interest you to know that Apaches and Hawaiians consider clock changes as utter nonsense, but government fails to notice they continue to survive. Aloha! Rico

Your final stanza nails it on the head. Covid has set the bar for flexibility required to where all things in comparison will appear negligible. ~ john

My body clock is totally out of sync, all those years of shift work didn't help. Tom
