Interlude

Shed the coat and hat and scarf
'Cause today, I'll bet,
If the sun comes out you will
Be drip-drip-dripping sweat.

Take a walk or grab your bike.
Note emerging blooms
Sprucing up the landscape
For the springtime, one assumes.

Just don't get too comfy;
Leave some sweaters in your drawers,
Since temps on Sunday will return
To those with winter's roars.

Whatever the weather, with daylight saving it's nice to finish work at 9pm and it still be light outside Ilene. I love Spring for that reason.

As a New Englander I know only too well the sleights of its weather, hot today, freezing tomorrow. Weatherman says we may get snow Tuesday or Wednesday. What a strange spring so far? BTW, the first forsythia is in bloom here. / M

A poem i can definitely relate to Ilene! The weather is so unpredictable we always wear layers - been sunny but cool today next week the temp is set to soar in the UK but it probably won't be as warm here as we are in the gulf stream, enjoy the sunshine whilst you can!:-) hugs jan xx
