Intent of the Mild Mind
I-ntent of the mild mind
L-ets the heart stay humble;
O-pening its inner thoughts
U-nder the noble goal.
I-ntent of the mild mind is to think of a sweet memory;
E-ach event of the past pleases the soul with glee.
T-he intent of the mild mind
O-bliterates the boastful way;
L-etting too much pride fade,
O-ctober twentieth Friday.
S-oft touch and gentleness leave the disdain behind;
A-n aim to be meek is the intent of the mild mind.
