“ for they miss the shape of you” my heart quivered, and quickened, i might be gettin palpitations, hopefully wont lead to a panic attack, as this evocative poem resonates and hits home for me! I love evocative poems! Whether short or long! And honestly this one evokes many emotions! Its beyond brilliant!! One of the finest senryus iv read in ages! And once again, im not being biased! There are some talented poets, when i read their words, i just stop and just be awe inspired! Felt this

Aww thanks Ink! I usually find short forms feel good to write in the moment then make me cringe when I return to them but I'm still quite enamoured with this one - it works with the painting of the empty room :) thanks for the boost :)

Hopefully I’m seeing this one in the right light LG, I feel absence is the overwhelming presence, and has become even more apparent when all lit up! this is really clever LG, thought provoking indeed, cheers David

Hopper's depiction of light always seems to drag emptiness into the scene - I was intending to write a longer poem but was only happy with a few lines so had a play with them until they worked as a senryu. Thank you for your comment :)
