Inspiration
I like to think a thought right through,
then cogitate a phrase or two.
A telling rhyme, with scansion clear,
will echo through my inner ear.
Then if I've pondered far too hard,
I'll summon help from book or bard.
And when at last, the end of day,
I'll know exactly what to say.
I'll take my pen and..... Blow it, then
I'll tear it up and start again!
