Inspiration

i look at them through rose colored glasses
knowing its not as perfect as it seems
they stood the test of time already lasting
thirty two long years
never seperating or cheating they endured
all the tribulations
from raising five girls to the years i ran away
cancer killing off his family to his nephews
burned in a fire
through marriages and divorce child birth
and death
life never came easy for this couple whats left
they worked all their life never complaining one
time
through storms and battles they managed to stay
intact
retired and living off their pension happy as can be
one day mother nature unleashed her wrath
and took everything they had
without a thought they started a new rebuilding
a life with just them two
along came ms.brandy fresh outta prison
and they welcomed her home with open arms
their daily lives are revolved around me and my life
husband and wife plus one
its been a journey this year alone but together
they we did it and made it a home
i look at them and tears come to my eyes
forgivness and remorse for the pain and lies
if they can stay together through all this stuff
i know that hope is yet enough

to my mom and dad thanks for loving me and being the greatest parents i could ask for
i wont let myself or you down
