Insomnia
Insomnia
by Jason Williams
As night draws closer
my mind starts to wander
It’s preventing my slumber
my lucidity’s asunder
I wonder
If these long nights will end
Or begin
To settle in a peaceful manner
Can you tell me?
What’s this change in my mind?
It’s a shame I can’t find
What’s to blame, is it time?
I’M NOT FINE!
I just want respite
I long for peace in the night
Instead of screaming in fright
Wide awake clinging to light
This is my fight
Every
Single
Night
