Insincere Apology

Did you say you are sorry, my friend, With a genuine feeling of humble contrition, Or was your “Sorry about that!” a means to an end, To change your ill-considered, untenable position Without regard for my miserable condition?

How true....people can be quite rude especially with feigned words ~"Sorry About That",it surely does not excuse them. I really enjoy your many Quintains~I think this form is your signature! :)Paulette

Thank you so much, Paulette, for your thoughtful comments. I do enjoy the format, almost as much as I do the triolet.

Thank you, Caren. I just hate that flippant "sorry about that!" which is flung out there so frequently, so insincerely.

"Sorry 'bout that!" is one of my pet peeves. Thank you for reading and commenting on this one, Shirley.
