Inside My Words

Look deep inside my words
And tell me what you see
My words are the eyes to my soul
The hidden part of me

They will tell you who I am
Peering, from the inside out
They'll show you all of my hopes and dreams
And what I'm all about

Sometimes they're like a time machine
If you look carefully
They'll show where I came from
And what I used to be

They will show you things I try to hide
Like all of my bad mistakes
They'll tell you of the pain I feel
Each time that my heart breaks

Look deep inside my words
Though there isn't much to view
See the hidden part of me
For I am just like you

After a very super weekend I am back at the soup reading. I enjoyed reading your poetry this afternoon. There are so many diverse writers here and I am so happy I am able to read most of them. Have a wonderful week and may you find what you are looking for in life and in your writing Larry. Love, Carol
