Insecure Securities

You make me feel like
I'm good enough,
I'm strong enough,
We'll make it through.

I don't want this to end,
Maybe that's why I'm
So scared, I don't need
Another to tell me they
Love me, they'll never leave,
I need someone who will prove
That they're worth my trust,
Can you be that one?

I want to believe so I do,
Prove to me I'm not just
Making a mistake, putting
My heart out there again.

I know that if you left
My heart would be back
To being in pieces, bleeding
Out onto the cold cement,
Like a dying rose on the side
Of a lonely highway.

But if you stayed, if you could
See past my strangeness and
Neediness, I could be the one
For you, my love is forever.

This might not be perfect but
I do believe it's perfect enough,
You're the one I've been waiting
All my life for, please, I beg you,
Don't let me down...
