Insatiable Desire
In our souls, an insatiable desire resides
A force compelling, where reason often hides
A primal instinct, hidden deep below
Millennia of evolution, it's hard to overthrow
Man and woman, our ancient kin
Yet modernity's journey did begin
Acknowledging our past, beyond mere bones and art
In the quiet of our minds, we find a different start
Evidence, the bedrock of our quest
In every facet of life, we request
But in matters of faith, when shadows take flight
Perhaps that's where we falter, in the absence of light
We emerged from the Savannas, hairless, and free
For many, this truth might not sit easily
Yet reality relies not on feelings alone
In this beautiful tale, a brutal truth is known
Extinction, not the exception, but typically the rule
In the grand tapestry of life, the relentless school
So, embrace the urges, accept the facts
As countless before us, in reason, we'll react
Conscious creatures, from the Savannas we rose
In this fleeting existence, our time swiftly goes
Let's cherish this life, our transient abode
In unity with nature, let our spirits freely unfold
