Innocent Alive
I've always wondered why funerals are held weeks after someone dies
Why bury a person three weeks later when just the body remains?
Free of the soul that rises above the ether elsewhere
Unlike the corpse now starting to rot as it's placed underground
So it is separate as before birth flesh below and spirit above
No longer a joint holy union of a human being alive on planet earth
Till they're reborn and walk the ground again time in heaven aloft
New life reincarnated as something new alive unique loved innocent
