Innocence Lost

Her hair was fire her eyes the sea, standing face to face your no longer free. Like a spell that's cast your minds not your own, prisoner of love in the danger zone. A daydream would flash when I felt her near, I'd open a door and she would appear. I knew that our hearts were ready for love, was I waiting for a sign from above? Like two ships that pass sometimes in the night, we silently knew that the time was right. The stories are told of a love so strong, thunder and lightning lasting all night long. The love rituals of the humankind, result when the heart rules over the mind. Then you find you have a family life, That includes children along with a wife. The generations since time have begun, have all had problems along with the fun. If they had given a thought to their fear, then you and I might not even be here!
