Innocence

"Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter heaven's kingdom" - Matthew 18:3

Walking up the stair
The familiar cement steps
Offers light and brightens my nightmare
Within the glow that the setting reflects
Bells chiming, the echo of consoling prayer
Innocence replaces reality's context
Releasing all worry and notion of time
As the atmosphere soothes with every breath
The restoring tune and words softly sings
Music of grace that releases my soul
Directing the caged bird to wings
Taking flight with the life it brings
Drifting me from these chains
Lifting me from these pains
A child in Gods house, forever free
Comforting, invigorating, I'm truly at home
Within the Lord's house I can see...
Only here, I stand never alone
