Inner Satisfaction

The finer things in life are not material Cannot be measured by silver and gold, But have an intrinsic, everlasting value Like contentment and happiness, I'm told. One cannot buy with money these things While possessions can be comforting, Like fine cars, elaborate furs, and rings Only love and joy inner satisfaction brings.

Love and joy is the only satisfaction we can ever attain if you ask me. This is true.

I would like to add one to 'Love and Joy,' if I may -- ' true accomplishment.' (Doesn't fit in the poem phonetically, but can't beat it for internal satisfaction.)

You certainly may, gw, and I wholeheartedly agree. There is no feeling quite like true accomplishment, which, all too often, goes unrewarded!
