Inhaling the Sea
Inward I look, searching
Never quite able to touch what I seek.
Hearing a voice in the distance
Alight with fresh passion I resume hunting;
Longing to possess
Invigorated by mere sight alone
Nothing is comparable to
Ghosts, and the spirit of yesterday.
There, I said it!
Hearing my own voice speak
Excruciating, the sound of your name.
So many years ago, I lost you in battle.
Everywhere, in every life, I suffer
As I long to hold you, now and evermore.
