Infinite Tries

At the edge of the sky, hope is waiting
as stars explode into a fresh sunrise.
Despite a creeping smile you’re debating
whether to bet on that roll of snake eyes.
There’s no game around with infinite tries,
that’s an idealist with beginner’s luck.
They won’t ever appear to be a schmuck,
blind trust is fused in faith and ambition.
Activating the gall to reach and pluck,
bravery gives you that bit of traction.
