Infatuation

How long must I wait
to be held in your arms?
To have you hold me close
and protect me from harm?
What must I do
to make you realize how I feel?
To prove that I’m different from her?
And that my love is for real?
What must I say?
And how should I say it?
That it’s you and only you
with which I long to commit?
How should I act
whenever you are near?
How can I show you
that my love is sincere?
I want you to know
but I’m way to scared
of how’d you react
once my feelings are bared
So I’ll keep it to myself
and deal with the situation
For I’ve never been trapped
by such an infatuation
