Infamy

evil lurking within the hearts of men
negating what goodness remained,
a time of infamy it shall always be,
a bloody chapter in human history.

So very well said and a great tribute to those who lost their lives and those that had to pick up the shattered pieces afterwards. Take care. Love Heidie

Very well stated Fred. Too many bloody chapters in history for me. I respect your tribute here and honor those who perished on that awful day. Love, Shar

We did not respond as quickly or as harshly as we should have. When we fond out which countries were involved, we should have sent a message that eternity would not forget. I'm all for letting the admirals and the generals run the war. Hey, did you notice I said admirals first. Guess we just have to put our best foot forward. Have a great one and by the way I do remember that yellow polka dot bikini, it was lying on my bedroom floor. Vince

One of my most challenging questions,"why are people the way they are?",then,I read from an english scholar,Margaret Cavendish, from the mid-1700's,where she explained thus...."some love the life of their memory so well,as they would rather choose to be remembered by the world as a fool, rather than to be forgotten as a beast;which is rather to live in infamie, than to die in obscurity..."which she goes on to call it,"the bastard fame"......nice fredo...peace , jay
