Indifference

Indifference…

It’s just a mood I’m in, a feeling I have
In regards to all around me
It’s where I’ve been; It’s where I’m at
It’s an attitude that’s surrounded me

I look to the left, I look to the right
So much seems so wrong
I take a deep breath, close my eyes for the night
And try to find where I belong

Unable to elaborate, unable to speak
I’m fumbling with the words
My pen without ink, I cry as I think
Wondering if I’ll ever be heard

I need to get away, far from the day
The darkness takes heed to my call
Cover the blue with the gray, take me away
From my shadow as it fades from the wall…
