Indestructible

The ambiance of beautiful love,
cannot be erased by trash talk.
Tis the feast and forte of a peasants' walk.

Were you actually there that spring night?
Whence cometh your facetious insight?

To put to death, a lover's joyous quest?
Joyful depths of her reality, she hath shared
with thee!

Where soft secrets were shared, of these your
mind is bare!
Thus remove your dagger from her bleeding heart,
so tender, divinely rare!

And from her honest thoughts, expect no more.
Outcast, thou be from her intimate soul, forevermore!

A nice hybrid of classical style and modern lingo, expressing sad emotions of betrayal and hatred. I especially loved the line 'Tis the feast and forte of a peasants' walk.' Beautifully done ~ John

Ifs a mix alright-)). When sharing deep emotions with another, sometimes, the receiver dismisses my deep share in a tawdry way. That's not only painful but lime a slap in the face. Some people do not emote at levels I do. I forget that. Some think from the neck up. No heart involved. I forget people do not think like me. We are all different. I do agree it was beautifully done,)) hugs Pangie xx

A sad verse of betrayal, will she ever trust again. Tom

I agree with what Robert said. Some of the very best poets here receive few, if any, comments.

My friend, your poetry gifts so many others-continue ever onward and truth is the lack of commenting bears no relationship to the quality of the poetry or the immense talent of the poet. You represent both so very well. God bless..

Stabs in the back are frequent to men and to women, simply ignoring a poet here is a putrid act. You know what I mean! The inability to just write a word or two in a comment. I do think it's best to block all comments for me.i Pray I do it soon, Pangie.xx

My dear friend, this is a most powerful example of deep, insightful poetry on the subject of those betrayed. While love has its beautiful roses --sadly it also has its thorns! A truly wonderful gem and a very fine fav for me.. God bless..

Hello Most respected Poet...actually, I meant the love was stable and eternal. But people outside the relationship, tell the person in love, that it does not! The judgements of people are harsh. She wants that person who stood in judgement, to stand apart from her and remove the dagger. And love does carry its pain but its roses overcome it. Thank you for taking tbe time to read it and fav it, Love, Panagiota
