Inclusivity
I've long been sidelined for being different
And I had to work extra hard to get to where I'm at
Cause barriers were set on our path
From words of dismissal to being put down
And I hope it ends with me
For some of the people with disability
Ain't as strong as me
Some break from within and hide
And then be afraid of expressing
Their desires while they've got voices that need to be heard
So from my art I'll always try to speak for them
Until they are able to come out the shadows
To speak of their struggles cause we all have stories
Stories that inspire us on the dark days
Cause we believe that they need to be heard
At times I'd go to sleep, hoping
Hoping that when I wake I find the world's inclusive
Not to see me as someone in need
But to see me as someone with a different need
Due to my challenges as disabled
And before I sleep I always pray
That the same hearts that like a nice laugh
Or the same faces that beam with joy when they smile
Have the same stead on issues of disability
Cause we not a minority, there's more of us everyday
