Incarceration

These are the days
all have come to know
when there is no turning back
running isn't an option
The past and future seem to collide
truth will explode in a single action
fate and faith share a common thread
breathing becomes hard
 Hands shake
visions of fill the mind
incarcerating your purpose
your goal
You know that you must stand
fail and you are forgotten
everything occurs within a blur
discerning friends from enemies
 While staring into a mirror
you question all that you are
and what you have become
the reflection scares you
 Seeing a transformation
of someone you never knew
yourself
