Inaugural Prayer For Barack Obama

Dear Lord, as I sit here watching the Inauguration Of the 44th president Of the United States of America A black man, heaven sent. Thank you Lord for Barack Obama Michelle and the girls Thank you Lord for this man Who is uniting so many worlds Thank you Lord for answering his prayers Because we know that Lord with you A wish is just a word But prayer can make your dreams come true ‘My Country Tis of Thee’ Seemed to have been written for this day Tears streamed down the face of America There are not enough words to say Not enough words to say for my Daddy Who served the United Stated Army for 24 years Not enough words to say to my mother Whose words are mixed with silent tears Not enough words to say why my mind keeps going To my grandfathers, Grandpa Jerry and Daddy Bryce The lessons I learned from their footprints Of a black mans’ spirit and a black mans’ spice The spirit and spice of a black man Is made of courage, endurance and pride It’s covered with the blood of Jesus And ancestors who fought and died. The spirit of the black man is leading our country now Barack Obama - product of prayers that did not end Thank you Lord for this great and wonderful day Please protect him, Heavenly Father Amen
