In Youth, Beauty That Sets Eager Hearts To Flutter

Nor stony tower, nor walls of beaten brass, Nor airless dungeon, nor strong links of iron, Can be retentive to the strength of spirit; But life, being weary of these worldly bars, Never lacks power to dismiss itself. Julius Caesar Act 1, Scene 3 ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ( From that to this, youth, poetry and into aged mind ) In Youth, Beauty That Sets Eager Hearts To Flutter Sea waved at scantily-clad sunning girls breeze gifted cooler winds in soothing swirls. Sand, bikini, colors the beach adorn great was blessed views on that July morn. Laughter, joy and loud play, call for the day. Clear blue sky defeats world's sad morbid grey. Picnic and fun- as early summer treats innocent youth, deeper mysteries greets. Beauty that sets eager hearts to flutter as silent prayers, hopeful teen boys mutter. Laughter, joy and loud play, call for the day. Clear blue sky defeats world's sad morbid grey. As racing sun, bright radiance gifted thoughts of Love, romance many hearts lifted. Cool waters waving, and hearts swift beating Cupid shot arrows, Desires were heating. Laughter, joy and loud play, call for the day. Clear blue sky defeats world's sad morbid grey. Robert J. Thank you my friend. So true, but those memories both the good, the bad, the sad and preciously loved -- all make great fodder for poetic expression-- if one decides to unabashedly reveal the truth of a life in youth wildly spent and oft grievously lived...Thanks for commenting...

Seem like a lot of people fluttering today... Unlike a poem with a refrain and yours was very good .

Thank you my friend. *Casting lines in black ink. *Young love in a blink.* Memory of youth. * A wild and sad truth. Kissing beautiful girls.* Romance, in rainbow swirls. Such past dreams of sweet spice. * Youth, want another slice!...... Yes, fluttering seems to have been the call for the day... Thanks for commenting...

Thank you my friend. Yes, I was fortunate that pretty girls flirted with me! I as a young man over indulged in the fruits of life and plated the field with no thought of anything but being alive.. Looking back, I can see that a great many of my dates did the same. Thanks for the fav....
