In Your Eyes

It was in your eyes…
Where I saw the world
The joys of new tomorrows
The playful boys and girls

It was in your eyes…
I saw a chance for me
I realized, then, of my hope
And dreams, yet meant to be

It was in your eyes…
Love had come into my life
My heart found its other half
The day I made you my wife

It is in your eyes…
I’ll constantly stare in awe
I will gaze into your beauty
Be blind to every flaw.

It is in your eyes…
The warmth of your soul
Envelops my cold body
Assuming all control.

It is in your eyes…
No other place to ever be
Together sharing today’s love
And tomorrow’s love, we’ll see
