In Tough Times

Turbulent stream cascades on rough rock floor,
foaming waters flow to placid smooth sea.
Summer days burn the wasteland to the core,
satin night spreads stardust on the debris,
united, the opposites feel the glee.
Tough times shred life in scathing surge of storm,
to a cared bird in your nest I transform.
In harsh winter nights I freeze and in strain
lie on cosy dreams in your stretched arms warm,
your silky touch soothes forever my pain.
