In To Her Eyes

Capped with soft golden hair
Her blue eyes opened
She smiled
At once
She knew I was there

I reached for her tiny hand
She gripped my finger
With fierce intensity
I kissed her forehead
I knew
I loved her completely

The girl child
Of Moondust and I
Born in summer
She cradled her
To her breast
As we looked out
And saw in to her eyes
Of sunsets
And eagles flying in the west

Hey Matthew, Another great piece! I've just returned to PS after a long absence. I just realized that you had commented on a lot of my work in 2007. I would like to thank you now and to apologize for the long long delay. I have just begun to read your work and will continue to do so. This one is priceless! Now you know how it felt when I wrote FIRST BORN (For Andrea) Congratulations, Matthew! Once again, thank you for your support and your advice. God bless you and your family!
