In Time

I will never be what I want to be because of certain things against me.
It is sad I can never have what I need as all of my cravings are now so deep.

I know. In time.

In time your oath will be my truth.
I will never be what you want me to be because of the things surrounding me.
It is tragic I can never have what I want but it leads me to think I am not at fault.

I hope. In time.

In time your truth will be my oath.
I will never be what they want me to be because of the obstacles placed around me.
It is shattering to contemplate the desire of the spiritual love, the pinnacle of fire.

I pray. In time.

In time your truth will be my truth.
Reality wavers and hangs like a noose.
In time your oath will be my oath.
Fantasy flickers and haunts like a ghost.

In time. In time.

I am now convinced that your show of intellect is no accident, and that you are a truly inspired person. When with feelings you excavate for meaning your philosophy buds like a spring flower. Congratulations, my friend, continue to carry us in the palm of your dreams, I love it there.

You really know how to make those first lines. "Fantasy flickers and haunts like a ghost." You captured the essence of it right there. Nice write.

You are wise to hold out for a "spiritual love," Joanne. There is truly none better or more lasting. I enjoyed reading about your own self-doubts because there is a ring of truth to them. Guess we all feel that way sometimes. But "In time" fantasy will no longer haunt you. When you are ready to accept his love, it may be the happiest day of your life. Greaty write! Love, Carolyn
