In This Dream

Solace can be found in dreams,

thoughts take shape

reality is as it seems;

a subconscious escape.

Yet only one figure remained opaque

a few inches from my face.

a vision so vivid I could awake,

she stood with eyes so beautiful, they set the pace.

It started with a curious playful glance,

a moment where eyes became locked

mimicking movements in a trance

my heart almost stopped.

Hands searched for recognition

reaching for something,

perhaps her hand’s cooperation

will chase away everything.

Now touching lips,

the world pauses for a moment

a kiss that made even time slip,

every word I’ve said, I’ve meant.

In this dream, you’re my sunshine

i’d rip down the stars for you,

i’ll do anything to keep you mine

even rearrange the planets too.
