In the Woods Collaboration

Lingering light dwindles among the horizon, Twilight fades with a farewell from the sun. The magical day is now over, fading sun's colors of crimson clover. Shadows disappear as stars sprinkle the sky, with the moon illuminating those who walk by. Woods appear so much more ominous at night, silent blackness causing an overwhelming fright. What did I just hear, no big bear just a little deer. Trees are like charcoal – inky blankets all around, as nocturnal animals hunt without making a sound. Country paths seem lifeless in the eerie dark, occasionally disturbed by a guard dog’s bark. Temperatures fall with the mid winter freeze, people feel the chill with the cold air breeze. Wish I had a warm coat of fur, this cold night air is sure burr. Day light sneaks in as the sun begins to rise, the moon and stars hide away in disguise. The moon and stars will be out tonight, all shinning ever so bright. Patiently waiting for the darkness to reappear so they can play again, when humans disappear. They may be small and cute, their huts are hidden under a root. Date Written: 10/17/2020 Collaboration with the Silent One Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Silent One

Thanks for writing. Glad you like this one. I do not want them on the right side. This one looks OK. I try to check them and fix them. I do not understand how/why it happens. Again, Thanks and have a wonderful day..............
