In the Woods

I found your clothes
And your little pink lunchbox
Why was it you they chose
Of you, nobody talks

How old were you
What was your name
I wish I knew
Who was to blame

I hope there wasn't pain
I hope it didn't last long
Maybe your name was Jane
Did you see them come along

Why do they do this
They take peoples lives
Take a girl from bliss
Using their knives

I hope it's better up there
Away from those woods
What happened wasn't fair
I wish it was me, instead, in the woods

This is a sad and emotional write. The reader can feel the heartbreak and sorrow in every line. Nice job
