In the time when
the heart beat slows
I close my eyes
and meet you there
that place of aether
the either or,
the conversation
takes a turn,
all the trees holding
creatures in my forest
seem to think it’s not
private
all can see
my heartbeat
communicating with you
in this place of peace
I’m still alive in the
dead zone, feeling
my way in the Orphic myst
in the unclear clearing
there appears no road sign,
di via crucis, a tryst -
you move in closer,
speaking without speaking,
what’s inside behind the eyes,
shares the temporal
in this backwoods home,
this silent pocket
of sacred celestial,
you say,
“foxglove belladonna,
strange creature
you come and go
with such indecision,
seeking what’s inside
the centre of it all,
you already know,
the answer turning
deep channels
walking the waves
through walls in
cool transmission,
you know - still,
you change your mind
over and over
walking back in,
walking back out,
like the moon calls
in the tides;
Morpheus transports
you here, temporarily,
the spell ends with
that late to the party
Orpheus, upon
being light kissed,
there you are retrieved
from that other world -
you will see,
have faith in the music
and the poetry,
bestowed as solid gift,
the motto in the heraldry;
when you awake
you’ll understand,
the coil in the questions
of an endless See,
between sun and moon
eclipse, to fully gather
once and for all,
into arms of agape gist,
this most pressing quest;
the veil removed,
'tis never easy,
your real name is
Eurydice”
