In the Sun
In the sun I sit
Till it burns my skin
Into the wind I spit
So that the tiny drops
Wet my silly grin
In the new day I wake
Taking me closer to my end
In my chest is my heart
Which I’m no longer able to defend
Inside me is my soul
The world tries so hard to bend
Here I am a man
Happiness I only pretend
My life is an endless ache
For which love can only mend…
