In the Stillness and Silence
The night is silent
putting everything to a still
in the stillness of the night
I lay awake haunted
by memories
of you and me
In this nightly silence
you come to haunt me
I see you in my mind
your face so vivid
but only for a brief moment
you fade away so quickly
And i'm back to reality
where it's just me
awake in the stillness
and silence of the night
drowning in memories
of you and me
