In the Splendor of Spring
wallow
in the splendor
of spring
feel the coolness
of the breeze.
fondle the soft pedals
of johnny jump ups.
marvel at nature's beauty
often overlooked;
the earth is young
and beautiful!
wallow
in the splendor
of spring
cast aside
gnawing concerns of now;
wholly surrender
to a gentle afternoon rain...
and inhale the refreshing zephyr.
watch eager butterflies flitter
every which way
in the meadow.
wallow
in the splendor
of spring
sniff the blooming roses
kissed by hummingbirds
feast your eyes
on the rainbow glistening...
in the morning mist
listen attentively to the melody
of cheerful robins;
every chance you get...
wallow
in the splendor
of spring
