In the Son

Temptation is false hope.
It surrounds me in lies.
Clouding up my mind always coming in disguise.
Temptation is foolery.
It’s like a pest to me.
Always trying to steal my destiny
Temptation, that son of a gun takes my soul and plunges it into the sun.
Not the ocean where it's cool and fun, no the sun that burns me until I'm well over done.
Is the battle won? NO it’s just begun!
Even though charred and scared I look to the holy one.
To clear up the rage so I can see The Son.
He lights up my day and reminds me that the battle is won.
Even though Charred and scared I look to the holy one, the only one.
It’s just begun. It’s not done.
